FAMILY LAW REPRESENTATION, CONSULTATION, MEDIATION, & COLLABORATIVE DIVORCE:

  • Full Representation: Your lawyer will work with you directly and prepare for and attend court appearances with you, in addition to working directly with the other party and their lawyer to negotiate a settlement agreement. If settlement is not possible, all disputed issues in the divorce case or child custody case will be adjudicated by the court.

  • Partial “Limited Scope” Representation: Your lawyer will appear in court with you for one or more limited issues in the case, such as child custody or spousal support.

  • Consultation: Your lawyer will work with you in one of two ways while not attending court dates. The consultation can be behind the scenes where your lawyer counsels and guides you in order for the client to communicate directly with the court and the other party or their lawyer to resolve or litigate each legal issue. The other option involves your lawyer communicating and negotiating with the other party or their lawyer on your behalf. The consultation relationship can be converted to full or partial representation if and when the client decides this is needed.

  • Mediation: Ms. Passadori is a trained mediator having completed a 5-day program with the Center for Understanding in Conflict. She can act as the mediator where each party has their own lawyer or presents themself. The process is confidential and voluntary. Resolution occurs by mutual agreement of the parties. If the parties hire another mediator, she can also represent or consult with one party in that mediation process.

  • Collaborative Divorce: This process requires both parties to promise not to go to court. Each party builds a team around them, including a lawyer, divorce coach, and either a shared or separate financial expert. Ms. Passadori is certified and trained as a collaborative divorce lawyer.
